Why mount a TV?
If it originally was sitting on a cabinet- suddenly you get to reclaim that space! This may now give you a place to put your TV or audio components for example. A mounted TV also looks great on a wall and it improves visibility with the added height. If mounted on a swivel bracket, it can be pulled out and actually face the opposite direction!
We take care to ensure it is firmly mounted to studs, or into the fireplace as the case may be. Cables are fished down the wall, even if the room is finished with drywall The cable's entry and exit points would then have plates installed to give it a finished appearance.
There are several different brackets for different applications:
Tilt Bracket:
The most common bracket style. It allows the TV to aim slightly downwards, which creates a better viewing angle if you are for instance on a sofa or table within 15' of the TV. It is also possible in some instances to mount a cable box or satellite box behind the tilt TV bracket, which can give your TV a nice clean look below.
Flat Bracket:
Used to keep a low-profile on the mounted TV. By design, it points straight forward so is mos suitable for a large room or one where the viewer has some distance from the TV
Swivel Bracket:
An excellent choice to compensate for a sharp angle from where the TV is mounted, to the viewing position. It also works well for a TV mounted on the wall in the corner of the room.
